EDward Gaming enter this match with a 7-5 record, which is not great, but they are arguably much better than their record would suggest. Admittedly, EDG haven’t performed well against LPL top dogs this season, but we wouldn’t sleep on this team just yet.
Like EDward Gaming, LNG Esports haven’t faired well against good teams this season – in fact, they’ve been blown out in every game against the top sides. However, on a more positive note, LNG are improving their early game and seem to be playing with more aggression, yet they’re still sloppy around neutral objectives.
There is a good chance EDward Gaming stomp LNG Esports, but the underdogs have side selection, which makes them a more appealing pick. LNG to win the series is a bit too optimistic, but we like the outsiders to win Map 1 at +125.

JD Gaming clinched a playoff berth last week, which is seriously impressive considering we still have three more weeks of LPL 2022 Summer. However, JDG deserve to be in the position they’re currently in.
As a team, JDG have been averaging some of the best performance numbers in the league, namely Dragon Control, Herald Control, and Gold Difference/minute in wins (+446). Interestingly, while JDG look dominant in their wins, their average gold difference at 10 and 15 minutes is far from great (eighth and seventh best in the league) – indicating that JDG are more of a late-game team.
JD Gaming are good enough to defeat Victory Five, but we’re a bit concerned about their ability to stop V5’s explosive early game. Still, JDG will get to start on the blue side in this match, so we will give them the benefit of the doubt that they can force a three-map series.
