Another huge week of esports will take place in the week beginning August 28, 2023, with CS:GO taking centre stage.

The 18th season of the CS:GO ESL Pro League will begin on Wednesday, August 30, with the first of 81 series kicking off the month-long tournament.

Of the 32 teams participating in ESL Pro League 18, 22 of the worlds top 25 ranked CS:GO teams will be in attendance in Malta.

Some of the key leagues and tournaments taking place in the esports world this week include:

  • CS:GO ESL Pro League Season 18

    One of the best events on the CS:GO calendar will begin on Wednesday, with the 18th season of the ESL Pro League featuring the world’s best teams who will be battling it out for Pro League glory.

    With a spot at IEM Katowice 2024 and the BLAST Premier World Final 2023 on the line for the winner, as well as a massive US$850,000 prize pool, expect every team to be ready to play their best Counter-Strike throughout the event.

    Most esports betting sites have Team Vitality, G2 Esports and ENCE marked as equal favourites at +350, closely followed by Heroic and Cloud9 at +450.

  • Halo Championship Series: Fort Worth Major

    The third and final Major of the 2023 Halo Championship Series will take place in Fort Worth, Texas, with a US$250,000 prize pool up for grabs.

    The teams that finish in the last eight, will qualify for the Halo World Championship 2023 and will battle it out in Seattle, Washington in October.

    Most bookmakers have Spacestation Gaming marked as favourites at +150, closely followed by FaZe Clan (+200) and OpTic Gaming (+400).
