Invictus Gaming have yet to lose a game this season, with wins against Anyone’s Legend (2-0) and Royal Never Give Up (2-0), which is seriously impressive. But they’ve yet to face a team as strong as EDward Gaming, who also hold onto a flawless record (1-0), with a victory against Team WE (2-0).
The question in this match is whether IG’s success over the first two weeks is any indication of the team’s strength. But you could also question EDG, whose only win came against a significantly weaker team.
We can appreciate EDG’s high ceiling, but we also liked what we saw from Invictus Gaming before the Chinese New Year’s break, and if they can keep playing this way, we might see them take down another LPL titan on Wednesday. A smaller stake on IG to win at +175 is worth a shot.

Royal Never Give Up are not playing well, but they’ve only played two games – a win against OMG (2-0) and a defeat against Invictus Gaming (0-2) – so it’s hard to make any conclusions. Their next opponents, LNG Esports, are 1-0 with a victory against ThunderTalk Gaming (2-0), which doesn’t tell us much either.
Esports betting sites have LNG priced as +110 underdogs, which makes sense if you believe that Royal Never Give Up will play at 100% and show what they’re capable of. They had enough time to fix their mistakes, but based on what we saw from them two weeks ago, it’s tough not to lean towards LNG.
At even money or better, we like LNG Esports.
