XLG Esports are the defending VCT 2025 China champions, having completed their Cinderella run in Stage 1 by beating Nova Esports, EDward Gaming, Wolves Esports, and Bilibili Gaming in the playoffs. Their performance at VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025 was far less inspiring, however, suggesting XLG’s Stage 1 title was a fluke.

All Gamers enter Stage 2 without a single victory to their name, having accumulated nine straight losses since the VCT Kickoff tournament. The disastrous start to the season ushered in major roster changes, including the departure of coach Gu “paris” Chao.

With all the changes, we can expect a different version of All Gamers. Still, the core that struggled so much in Stage 1 remains intact, so major improvements are unlikely.

Wolves Esports finished Stage 1 in third place and then added a bronze medal from VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025. As such, it is unsurprising to see Wolves priced as big favourites on the top esports betting sites for this match.

FunPlus Phoenix have not been very competitive this season, with just three victories in eight outings across the VCT Kickoff and Stage 1. In a bid to find more success in Stage 2, FPX have brought in ex-Bleed Esports coach Nikola “LEGIJA” Ninić.

However, even if LEGIJA managed to introduce his systems in such a short time, FunPlus Phoenix would not be able to match a Wolves Esports outfit that had no issues performing against the world’s best teams in Toronto.
