Wolves Esports exceeded expectations by reaching the VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025 Playoffs, with victories against Team Heretics and Bilibili Gaming in the final two rounds of the Swiss Stage. Their miracle run, however, is expected to end on Saturday when Wolves Esports face off against Rex Regum Qeon.
VCT Pacific’s first seed performed surprisingly well in Stage 1. But they might not make it far in Canada, mainly due to the lack of experience, fielding just two players – David “xffero” Monangin and Cahya “monyet” Nugrah – who previously appeared in an S-Tier LAN event.
Rex Regum Qeon are rightly the favourites, but Wolves Esports have proven to be very good and capable of holding their own against the world’s best teams.

Fnatic dominated VCT EMEA and look set to leave a positive mark at Masters Toronto, where the Black & Orange will chase their first LAN title since VALORANT Masters Tokyo 2023.
They did not get the easiest opponent in the first round, as Gen.G Esports performed admirably well in the Swiss Stage, beating MIBR with 13-5 on Sunset and 13-1 on Haven and Paper Rex with 13-11 on Ascent and 13-3 on Icebox.
Gen.G are warmed up and are peaking at the right time. On the other side, Fnatic have had plenty of time to prepare for this match and have a deep enough map pool to stop Gen.G’s run.
No result would be surprising, but unless Fnatic collapse as they are known to in international events, this should be a competitive game.
