Rainbow Six Berlin Major tournament structure


The Rainbow Six Berlin Major tournament commences on August 15, with the first three days of the competition allotted to the group stage.

The group stage will feature double-round robin groups with four teams each battling for a spot in the playoffs. All group stage matches will be played in a best-of-one format, with only the top two teams from each group making it to the playoffs.
 


After a one-day break, the playoffs will commence on August 15 and last for another three days. It will feature a single-elimination bracket, with all matches being played in the best-of-three format, except the grand final, which will be played in a best-of-five series.

Unlike the group stage, the playoffs and grand final will be open to the public, allowing fans to join the action live from August 19-22.

Six Berlin Major history


The Six Berlin Major is the second major of the 2022 Rainbow Six Siege esports season, following the Charlotte Major, which was held in July and won by DarkZero Esports. The season will come to an end in November with the Six November Major.



The Six Berlin Major was originally scheduled to be held in the United Arab Emirates but was moved to Germany by Ubisoft, owing to numerous complaints received from the Siege community.

The Six Berlin Major will be the first Rainbow Six event in Europe to have a live audience since Pro League Season 9 in 2019.
