Day one features a few exciting clashes between teams who travel to Romania with a point to prove following slow starts to the season.
That includes Astralis and FaZe Clan, who have yet to taste a LAN victory in 2025, but both came close to hoisting a trophy in PGL’s last event in Romania, where they clashed in a third-place decider.
The tournament will be missing some of the world’s top Counter-Strike teams — namely MOUZ, Natus Vincere, Team Spirit, and the recently crowned BLAST Spring Open 2025 champions, Team Vitality.
However, it will welcome eight of the top 12 teams on the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), including The MongolZ (No.4), Eternal Fire (No.5), G2 Esports (No.7), FaZe Clan (No.8), Team Falcons (No.9), and 3DMAX (No.10).
As the highest-rated team, The MongolZ are favourites to win PGL Bucharest 2025, priced at +300 on the outright betting markets.
G2 Esports are next at +400 on the best Counter-Strike 2 betting sites, ahead of Eternal Fire and FaZe Clan at +450 apiece.
Team Falcons (+600) and Team Liquid (+700) are the only remaining teams priced at single digits, with Astralis (+900) and Virtus.pro (+1000) rounding up the list of live outsiders to contest the trophy.
PGL Bucharest 2025 games will be streamed on Twitch, on PGL’s Stream A and B. Playoffs will be broadcast on PGL Stream A.
