PGL has announced the return of its Dota 2 PGL Wallachia tournament series, with three seasons scheduled for 2025.
The announcement was made before the grand final of PGL Wallachia Season 2, where HEROIC claimed the title after defeating Team Falcons 3-1.
This follows the successful debut of the first two seasons in May and October 2024.
The upcoming tournaments will be held in Wallachia, Romania, with the first season taking place in March 2025, preceded by qualifiers in January.
The second season will occur in April, with qualifiers in February, and the third season will be held in November, following qualifiers in September.
Each tournament will feature 16 teams, including 10 directly invited teams and six that qualify through the preliminary rounds.
Dota tournaments teams will compete for a share of a US$1 million prize pool for each event.
To support the participating teams, PGL is providing a hospitality package valued at US$450,000 per event.
This includes roundtrip flights and accommodations for eight team members, food and beverages, and a practice room during the event.
The PGL Wallachia series will continue into 2026, with three more events planned, each maintaining the US$1 million prize pool.
The 2026 tournaments are scheduled for March 6-15, April 17-26, and November 6-15.
