Virtus.pro lost their opening match of the playoffs against Twisted Minds, with 0-2 on Control–Busan, 0-1 on Escort–Dorado, and 1-2 on Hybrid–Midtown. The defending OWCS EMEA champions then bounced back with a 3-0 sweep of Team Peps; however, it was a close game, with VP winning with the smallest of margins.
The Ultimates kicked off the OWCS EMEA Stage 2 Playoffs with a 0-3 loss to the league’s top dogs, Al Qadsiah, before beating Gen.G 3-1. It was a nice bounce back, but not enough to believe The Ultimates have massively improved since their 0-3 loss to VP in the group stage.
Virtus.pro have been one of the top three teams of the split, so it is no wonder esports betting sites have them as short-priced favourites for this clash. However, Jesús “Galaa” López ad co. have slowed down a bit of late, so there is a very good chance The Ultimates take a map on Saturday.

Al Qadsiah are viewed as the league’s top dogs, yet the best Overwatch Champions Series betting sites have them priced as +120 underdogs for their clash with Twisted Minds. This makes little sense, as even though TM looked good in the first round of the knockout stage, they are unlikely to find the same success against Al Qadsiah as they did against Virtus.pro.
Al Qadsiah won the regular season with a perfect record and 21-3 in maps. That includes a close 3-2 victory against Twisted Minds in the first week; however, Al Qadsiah have since looked much better.
With how dominant and comfortable Al Qadsiah have been in this meta, it is very hard to find a reason to go against them. Twisted Minds have been playing well enough to believe they stand a chance of upsetting Al Qadsiah, but there is no world where Twisted Minds should be favourites.
