OG Esports has quickly beefed up their Dota 2 roster after the latest back office moves saw the franchise sell a 51% stake in the company.
OG had just two players, Tamir “daze” Tokpanov and Mihajilo “MikSa” Jovanovic, on their Dota 2 roster after bombing out of the International qualifiers earlier this year.
This followed news that OG Esports had deep financial troubles, with the outfit recording a loss of €3.7 million throughout 2023 and 2024 seasons.
But OG’s recent merger with the Chiliz Group has breathed new life into the traditional Dota 2 esports powerhouse.
OG has signed carry player Shad, after a stint on loan as his contract with NAVi was coming to an end ahead of TI14, while veteran Brazilian support Rodrigo “Lelis” Santos will slot into position 5 permanently and with extensive experience looms as a key pick-up.
OG Esports has also secured Igor “Stojkov” Stojkov as their new mid, with the Macedonian undoubtedly having extensive talent, and they will be hoping he is an upgrade on Stormstormer. They have signed him on a trial basis, leaving their options open as they try and recapture their glory days, which saw them net successive The Internationals in 2018 and 2019.
OG Esports is due to clash with Zero Tenacity in their DreamLeague S27 Closed Qualifier Upper Bracket clash on September 24, with the European outfit priced at -250 to win this clash, with their opposition outsiders at +180 with esports betting sites.
OG Esports also has teams competing in Counter-Strike 2, Honor of Kings, MLBB EAFC and Marvel Rivals.
The OG Esports Dota 2 roster for the 2025-26 season includes:
