ESB brings you free League of Legends predictions for a pair of LoL Pro League (LPL) 2023 Spring bouts on Tuesday, March 14. Here are our picks for Rare Atom vs Ultra Prime and Invictus Gaming vs Ninjas in Pyjamas, with esports betting odds courtesy of BetOnline.

RARE ATOM vs ULTRA PRIME LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAIL

Ultra Prime have yet to show much of this split, and there aren’t many positive things to take away from their recent series. ADC Chiu “Doggo” Tzu-Chuan has not lived up to the hype sparked by his performances at Mid-Season Invitational, and it’s not like any of his teammates have had outstanding split either.

Ultra Prime are 0-4 across their last four outings, with defeats against Team WE (0-2), Invictus Gaming (0-2), Bilibili Gaming (0-2), and EDward Gaming (0-2), which is bad. But Rare Atom are in the same position, with defeats against FunPlus Phoenix (0-2), ThunderTalk Gaming (0-2), Invictus Gaming (0-2), and EDward Gaming (1-2).

Winning a map against EDG helps Rare Atom’s value a bit; however, they’ve looked lost in their last four games, so having them priced as $1.44 favourites for this match seems a bit pricey.

Talent-wise Rare Atom are stronger, but there are no guarantees that they’ll play at the level we know they can. So as much as we can argue that this is Rare Atom’s game to lose, they’re too volatile to warrant a bet at the offered betting odds.

NINJAS IN PYJAMAS vs INVICTUS GAMING LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAIL

Best Odds: NiP +200 at BetOnline | IG -277.78 at BetOnline
When: March 14, 2023 | 17:00 CET

Throughout this split, Invictus Gaming have been very good against lesser opposition and have proven themselves as a solid middle-of-the-pack team. They lost against Team WE (0-2) on Saturday, which doesn’t look good, but WE are much stronger than what they led us to believe in this split, and can play up to their opponents.

Despite that loss, Invictus Gaming are heavily favoured to defeat Ninjas in Pyjamas, which is not too surprising. Ninjas in Pyjamas are on a three-game slide, with defeats against Bilibili Gaming (0-2), FunPlus Phoenix (0-2) and OMG (1-2) and throughout the three losses, NiP have failed to produce anything inspiring.

Invictus Gaming should not be losing games like this, and regardless of their slip-up against Team WE over the weekend, they’re still a far superior team to Ninjas in Pyjamas. So at $2.20, siding with Invictus Gaming to win 2-0 is the right play in our book.

Invictus Gaming are one of the bloodiest teams in the league, averaging 13.7 kills and 12.4 deaths per game, while Ninjas in Pyjamas’ average is 11.6 kills and 13.9 deaths. This would suggest that taking over 25.5 kills might be the move, but IG rarely give up much when faced with lesser squads, so we’re skipping on overs for this match.
