JD Gaming will continue their climb up the LPL ladder on Saturday when they clash with ThunderTalk Gaming – one of the weakest Chinese LoL teams. JDG enter this match on a three-game winning streak, including wins against UltraPrime (2-0), Victory Five (2-0), and LNG Esports (2-0), who they beat on Tuesday.

On the other side, ThunderTalk lost both of their last two outings against LNG Esports (1-2) and LGD Gaming (1-2). Although they stole a map from LNG last week, that was mainly because LNG choked rather than because ThunderTalk were good, and had that game ended in a 0-2 sweep, we can be sure that the LoL betting odds on ThunderTalk for this match would be much higher.

There is nothing that would suggest ThunderTalk are good enough to defeat JD Gaming, nor do we believe they have a realistic chance of winning a map. JDG are in excellent form, and it will take a lot more than a bottom-table team to stop them.

WEIBO GAMING vs TOP ESPORTS LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: Weibo +100 at BetOnline | Top -138.89 at BetOnline

Weibo Gaming are 10-2 with a remarkable 21-10 map difference, whereas Top Esports are 8-4 with a 17-15 map record. These two teams are very close in the league standings, and likewise, they’re not that far apart talent-wise.

Still, we would argue that Weibo Gaming are stronger, with much higher highs, albeit lower lows. That is mainly because Weibo’s long-term success will rely on the performances of their top laner Kang “TheShy” Seung-lok, who is notoriously a very inconsistent player.

Form-wise, Top Esports seem to be in a better spot, mainly because Weibo Gaming lost against Royal Never Give Up (0-2) and dropped a map against LNG Esports (2-1). But even those results don’t change the fact that Weibo have better individual players than TES do. This could be a close one, but at even money or better, Weibo Gaming are worth a bet.
