Hanwha Life Esports picked up their 11th straight win on Friday, when they defeated Dplus KIA. The series could easily have gone DK’s way, but too many errors and poor decisions allowed the in-form Hanwha Life to take control.

While HLE outmanoeuvred Dplus on the day, they were not perfect. There were still a few questionable calls, so this team is not quite as invincible as the winning streak might suggest.

Even with that in mind, it is hard to see KT Rolster finding enough openings on Sunday. KT started the split strongly, but they were figured out fairly quickly and have shown very little over the last couple of weeks.

Their recent 2-1 victory over Kiwoom DRX was far from convincing, and it did little to ease the concerns around where this team currently stands. KT are still capable of explosive starts, which can catch any opponent off guard, but Hanwha Life rarely give up too much early.

This is HLE’s game to lose. Given their form and KT’s recent struggles, Hanwha Life Esports are worth backing on the map handicap.

KIWOOM DRX vs HAJIN BRION

Kiwoom DRX are not among the top contenders in the LCK, but they have been showing some good things lately. They recently forced map three against KT Rolster, and last week they also took a map off Hanwha Life Esports.

Those results are not enough to suddenly push KRX up the power rankings, but they do suggest this team is more competitive than their record might indicate.

HAJIN BRION have also produced some strong results of late and head into this match on a five-game winning streak. Over that stretch, they have beaten DN SOOPers twice, KT Rolster, BNK FEARX, and Nongshim RedForce.

BRION deserve respect for that run, but this does not look like a simple matchup. Both teams have been trending in the right direction, and while Kiwoom DRX have not been turning promising maps into series wins as often as BRION, they should still be competitive with side selection.

This has the potential to be a very close series. Rather than chasing the outright upset, backing Kiwoom DRX to take at least one map is the safer angle.
