Hanwha Life Esports lost to Gen.G at the start of LCK 2025 Rounds 1-2 Week 8, but they managed to take the second map after pulling it back from the brink thanks to Park “Viper” Do-hyeon on Ezreal. It was an excellent performance from the First Stand 2025 champions, but Gen.G were too good and very effective in punishing even the smallest mistakes.

Dplus KIA have lost six of their last eight games, but in their defence, they had a tough schedule, having to play T1 (twice), Hanwha Life Esports, Nongshim RedForce, Gen.G, and KT Rolster. Since then, DK seem to have stabilised with back-to-back victories against DRX and BNK FEARX.

While it seems like Dplus Kia have figured things out and found more traction, it is hard to make a good case against Hanwha Life Esports, the obvious second-best team in the LCK.

DN Freecs lost their 14^th game of the stage on Wednesday when they had to admit defeat to DRX. Both maps were competitive, although the second was close purely due to DRX throwing away a big lead. Even then, DNF threw it right back with a botched Baron attempt.

T1 have been slowly finding more stability after moving away from an early-game-focused playstyle. While they are still not at the level of Gen.G, who handed them a crushing 0-2 loss on Sunday, T1 have been trending in the right direction.

DN Freecs will have side choice for this game, but their inability to close out games and poor early-game stats suggest this can easily turn into a one-sided contest.
