IEM Dallas 2025: Vitality & Falcons headline playoff-bound squads

Following the second day of group stage action at IEM Dallas 2025, four teams have booked their place in the playoffs. Read on to find out all the details.

The IEM Dallas 2025 playoff bracket is beginning to take shape, with Team Vitality, Team Falcons, MOUZ, and The MongolZ all booking their spots in the next stage of the Counter-Strike 2 event after strong group stage performances. As the upper bracket finals approach, seeding and survival are now the key themes for the rest of the field.

Vitality, MongolZ set for semifinal showdown

Vitality extended their monstrous winning streak to 27 maps and secured a playoff berth with a 2-0 win over GamerLegion, claiming Mirage (13-9) and Nuke (13-10). Despite GamerLegion’s early firepower and a stand-in boost, once Vitality hit their stride on defence, they never looked back. Vitality will now look ahead to their upper final matchup against The MongolZ, a team that they destroyed in quick time at IEM Melbourne just a month ago.

The MongolZ tore through G2 Esports in dominant fashion, dismantling them 13-4 on Inferno and 13-3 on Dust2. Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold opened the series with a stunning 2v5 Glock 4K, and Usukhbayar “910” Banzragch carried the momentum into map two with a brutal 1v3 clutch. The win not only eliminated G2 from the upper bracket but also reaffirmed The MongolZ as serious contenders.

Falcons & MOUZ through to playoffs

Team Falcons earned their playoff place by defeating HEROIC 2-1, with Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov turning in one of the standout performances of the tournament. He dominated on Ancient, then hit another level on Dust2, delivering a last-second 1v2 clutch and a wild no-scope wallbang to close the map. Despite dropping Nuke in overtime, Falcons looked composed and lethal throughout. They’ll now meet MOUZ in a rematch to decide Group B’s top seed.

MOUZ were the first CS2 team to lock in a playoff berth, crushing Team Liquid 2-0. Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás was on fire on Inferno, racking up 20 AWP kills in the first half alone, before his squad expertly picked apart Liquid’s counter-terrorist side on Train, running out 13-2 winners. Their map pool prep and individual form make them a serious threat in the playoffs.

FaZe, FURIA, Aurora & 3DMAX stay alive

FaZe Clan rebounded from their opening loss to Liquid with a 2-0 victory over BC.Game, thanks to a vintage showing from Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev. After a slow start on Mirage, he closed the map with a game-saving AWP quad-kill, then followed up with a 21-6 performance on Anubis. FaZe stay alive, while BC.Game exit the event winless.

FURIA Esports also survived, taking down Lynn Vision 2-0. They recovered from a shaky start on Dust2, rallying behind Danil “molodoy” Golubenko’s 26-kill, 1.70-rated counter-terrorist side to take the map 13-10. Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo and Yuri “yuurih” Santos came alive on Anubis, with FURIA capitalising on key misplays by Lynn Vision to close out a 13-7 win. They now face GamerLegion, needing two more wins to reach playoffs.

Aurora delivered one of the most lopsided results of the tournament by eliminating NRG in just 21 combined rounds across Inferno and Nuke. Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş and Ali “Wicadia” Yalçın starred, while Engin “MAJ3R” Kupeli capped the performance with a stylish 1v3 clutch. Aurora now prepare for a lower-bracket clash with Liquid.

3DMAX narrowly scraped past Legacy in a 2-1 series that saw highs and lows. They survived a double-overtime scare on Inferno, collapsed on Dust2, then clawed back from a 2-7 deficit on Anubis thanks to Bryan “Maka” Canda’s heroics. Despite the win, their inconsistency remains a concern ahead of a crucial do-or-die match with G2.
