Double Poney enter the second round of Flashpoint Season 3 following a 2-0 sweep of Team Vitality. Astralis were just as effective in their tournament opener, where they survived first-map overtime to beat OG 2-0.

The esports bookmakers have Astralis priced as big favourites for this match, which doesn’t sit right with us. This is one of those games where the odds are set purely on brand value and don’t consider any outside factors.

Astralis might be the most successful team in the game’s history, but their form is at an all-time low. This team that dominated the Counter-Strike esports scene in 2018-2019 is slowly falling apart, as is evident in the Danish side’s 3-5 record from their last eight outings.

Seeing Double Poney priced as high as +255 is outrageous and disrespectful to a team that has been gaining some serious traction in the upper echelon of the CS:GO competitive scene. We are sticking to the handicap, but an outright bet on the outsiders is not a bad choice either.

BIG vs MOUSESPORTS CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

CS:GO Betting Odds: BIG +113 at BetOnline | mouz -133.33 at BetOnline

BIG made easy work of Complexity (2-0) in the first round of the tournament and will now face their domestic rivals, mousesports. The latter demolished a poor Fnatic side on Tuesday with 16-8 on Inferno and 16-4 on Overpass, but we wouldn’t put too much weight on that result.

BIG and mouz last met just under three weeks ago, when mousesports won 2-0 at the IEM Summer 2021 Closed Qualifiers. They won both of their previous two meetings, although it is worth noting those happened in November and October of 2020.

Both sides have had good and bad performances this month and seem to be playing equally well. This is a complete coin-flip match, so we have to take the plus money on the outsiders.

BIG to win
