Gaimin Gladiators and ATK will face off in a best-of-three series for the fourth time this year. In the previous three encounters ATK owns a 2-1 score line, but the one series win that Gaimin Gladiators own was the most recent series a month ago.

ATK will play their first series in the 41st season of the ESL Challenger League against Gaimin Gladiators. ATK finished in 5th-6th place in last season’s edition of the ESL Challenger League after they went 6-1 in their seven regular season games, finishing on top of Group A but struggled in the playoffs. Since the end of last season, ATK have had some decent results playing in four ESEA Cash Cups, winning one and finishing second in another. They also attempted to qualify for the PGL Major in Antwerp and IEM Dallas 2022 but failed to do so finishing outside the qualifying spots in both of the closed qualifiers.

Gaimin Gladiators entered this season’s ESL Challenger League on a three game win streak and they went on to extend it to four after winning their first best-of-three series against Unjustified 2-0. They have now won 9 of their last 11 series over the last month, with one of those wins coming against ATK where they won 2-1. Gaimin Gladiators also finished in the 5th-6th spot with ATK in last season’s edition so they will also be looking to improve this season. In the last two ESEA Cups that Gaimin Gladiators participated in, they have won them both whilst going undefeated through the five games played.

These two teams should be fighting out the top four spots along with paiN Gaming and GODSENT, so we expect a good series here. We suggest taking the overs in the total maps market at -120.48 with BetOnline.

MYTHIC vs CARPE DIEM CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: Mythic +650 at BetOnline | Carpe Diem -1428.57 at BetOnline
When: May 11, 2022 | 21:00 ET
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/esl_csgo)

Mythic will take on Carpe Diem, with Mythic looking for their first win after losing their first series to BHOP and this will be Carpe Diem’s first series of season 41. These two teams met back in January where Mythic took the best-of-one match 16-14 in the Mythic Winter Series Cup 1.

Mythic have come up from the ESEA Advanced League from last season where they finished first and gained promotion into this season’s Challenger League. After only playing one competitive series in four weeks, the team was quite rusty in their first series against BHOP, so they will be looking for a much better showing against Carpe Diem. If the Mythic boys want to stay up in the Challenger League they will need to win their next few games to avoid relegation.

Carpe Diem finished second to MiBR in last season’s Challenger League where they lost 3-1 in the best-of-five final series. Carpe Diem will be looking to go one better this season and a win over Mythic in their first series would be a great start. The Carpe Diem boys finished 5th-6th in the IEM Dallas Closed Qualifier, meaning they didn’t qualify for the main event but they have also finished second and fourth in their last two ESEA Cash Cup events.

Carpe Diem will be the overwhelming favourites in this series, but there is no value in the -1428.57 for the win. We believe that this series could go the distance with Mythic needing to win their next couple of games to make sure they don’t get stuck in a relegation battle. Therefore, we will be taking the overs in the total maps market.
