G2 Minnesota are 3-1 from their last three games, having beaten Riyadh Falcons, Paris Gentle Mates, and FaZe Vegas. Carolina Royal Ravens have managed only two wins over that stretch, with victories against Vancouver Surge and Boston Breach.

This is a clash between two mid-table teams who do not have any clear weaknesses.

G2 Minnesota are your typical gatekeeper squad, with a positive win rate on all game modes. Carolina Royal Ravens, on the other hand, do well on Overload and Hardpoint, but struggle on Search & Destroy, with a 35.3% win rate.

This has the potential to be a competitive game. But while respawns can be close, G2 Minnesota’s superior S&D should give them an edge.

Vancouver Surge are expected to struggle against Toronto KOI, even though the two teams are not too far apart in the standings.

The Surge have won three of four games, while KOI have managed four wins from eight. The main difference, however, is the teams’ form.

Toronto KOI had a slow start to the stage, but have since improved massively, and have looked much better since Nicholas “Kips” Lyons was incorporated into the roster.

Their recent victories against Miami Heretics, Boston Breach, and Paris Gentle Mates are clear indications that KOI are in good shape. Meanwhile, Surge continue to struggle on Overload, while their Hardpoint (43.8%) and Search & Destroy (41.2%) also need more work.

LOS ANGELES THIEVES vs CLOUD9 NEW YORK

The best CoD bookmakers have priced Los Angeles Thieves as -10000 favorites to defeat Cloud9 New York. This gives them a 99% chance of winning the series, in one of the most one-sided fixture of the season.

Even though the Los Angeles Thieves haven’t looked perfect of late, Cloud9 New York are in a freefall and the worst squad in the CDL.

They are 1-6 this stage, with a 6-20 map differential, having won two maps last week, against Vancouver Surge and Boston Breach. Both times, they came out ahead on Scar – Overload.

This appears to be Cloud9 New York’s only decent map, but that will hardly be an advantage here, as LAT hold a 60% win rate on Scar.

While everything points towards a clean victory for the Thieves, they have been shaky of late and are on a three-game losing streak. At $2.50, C9NY to steal one map is worth a shot.

PARIS GENTLE MATES vs BOSTON BREACH

Best OddsMates -625 at BetOnline | Breach +350 at SportsBetting

Paris Gentle Mates are -625 favorites to defeat Boston Breach, which, from afar, makes sense. The Major 1 champions field one of the most stacked rosters in the CDL, and as shown in Stage 1, their ceiling is very high.

All that, however, holds little weight considering Paris Gentle Mates’ form. They enter Week 5 of CDL Stage 2 Major Qualifiers on a four-game losing streak, having slipped against Cloud9 New York, Toronto KOI, G2 Minnesota, and the Vancouver Surge.

Boston Breach are not among the top teams in the CDL, mainly due to how volatile they can be. But it can work in their favor in this match, as Boston can perform at a very high level on a good day.

Even though Paris Gentle Mates will get back on track at one point, their recent showings make it hard to take their side of this contest. A smaller position on Boston Breach is worth a look.
