Boston Breach have done well recently. They ended CDL 2025 Stage 3 online stage with a three-game winning streak and picked up a 3-0 sweep of OpTic Texas at the Major before losing to Vancouver Surge and Toronto Ultra and ending the Major in fifth-sixth place.
These results prove that Boston Breach are a team that is good but not great. While they can hold their own against other mid-table teams, Breach often cannot match it against the top contenders.
Vancouver Surge had a tough run through the first week, losing to Atlanta FaZe and OpTic Texas. The first was a close game, but in the match against OpTic, Surge laid an egg, especially Byron “Nastie” Plumridge, who had one of the worst games of his career, with a 0.53 K/D.
One bad game does not prove much, but Vancouver Surge seem to have slowed down a bit, which could be enough for Boston Breach to do some damage.

Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 lost their 10th consecutive game last weekend when they lost against Miami Heretics on map five. Control was close, but Heretics dominated Search & Destroy, so even though LAGM picked up the two Hardpoints, it is hard to feel overly optimistic about this squad.
Atlanta FaZe ended the first week with wins against Vancouver Surge and Los Angeles Thieves, which was a nice bounce-back after an early elimination from the CDL 2025 Major 3. While FaZe still have a lot more proving to do before they can reclaim the tag of the league’s top team, they are a much better and more well-rounded roster than Los Angeles Guerrillas M8.
As the latest betting odds suggest, this is Atlanta FaZe’s game to lose. Even though their respawns looked a bit shaky last stage, FaZe seem to be back in top shape, and it should show on Sunday.

Minnesota RØKKR placed seventh-eighth in the last Major, which was an improvement from their last-place finish in Major 2. However, even that is hardly inspiring.
RØKKR have been struggling a lot since the middle of Stage 2, as they are 2-12 from their last 14 outings. While a good portion of the losses were close, seeing Minnesota RØKKR lose so many game-five series is worrying.
Toronto Ultra started CDL 2025 Stage 4 with two solid victories against Carolina Royal Ravens and Cloud9 New York, improving their record to 8-2 across their last 10. Even though Ben “Beans” McMellon had an iffy week, Ultra are in an excellent spot and are one of the more consistent squads in the CDL.
As the offered betting odds by the top CoD betting sites suggest, Toronto Ultra should win, and it is hard to argue with that.
