Minnesota RØKKR defeated Carolina Royal Ravens in the first round of CDL 2025 Major 3 but fell against Toronto Ultra, who handed RØKKR their fourth loss over a five-game stretch and second in their last 13 outings.
Despite fielding a capable roster, Minnesota RØKKR don’t seem to be able to make it click, having struggled both online and on LAN.
Vegas Falcons are in an even worse spot, as they have managed just one win this season. However, their win rates are not significantly worse than RØKKR’s and outperform the Minnesota outfit on Hardpoint.
It will take a big blunder for Justice “Estreal” McMillan and co. to lose, but considering their poor performances on respawns, this could be a close game.

Carolina Royal Ravens had a very hot start to the season, but they’ve fallen hard of late, managing just two victories since the start of the third stage. In their defence, the Royal Ravens had to play Los Angeles Thieves (three times), Atlanta FaZe, and Vancouver Surge, but that is no excuse for looking terrible on Control and Hardpoint.
Boston Breach came out of nowhere and produced a 4-1 record in the last online stage, adding a solid fifth-sixth-place finish in CDL 2025 Major 3. Their ceiling is still a mystery, and unless Breach show further improvement on respawns, they will remain a team who are good but not great.
At -138.89, Boston Breach are an inviting pick. Even though they are not one of the league’s top dogs, they are holding on well, whereas Carolina Royal Ravens seem to be trending downwards.

OpTic Texas enter this match as heavy underdogs, which makes perfect sense. They have been struggling a lot since very early into the season, and their performances in CDL 2025 Stage 3 hardly inspire any confidence – especially on Search & Destroy and Control.
Vancouver Surge lost their second consecutive CDL Major grand final this week, which is a worrying trend. However, despite choking in big games, Vancouver Surge have been consistently playing well both on LAN and online.
The right team is favoured here. Considering OpTic’s individual quality, we can give them a map, but anything more than that is unlikely.

Miami Heretics finished the qualifiers with a 4-1 record and placed fourth in the Major with victories against Toronto Ultra and Atlanta FaZe, which is seriously impressive. However, they also lost to Los Angeles Thieves badly in the upper bracket semifinals, which explains why the Heretics are priced as massive underdogs for the rematch by the top CoD betting sites.
With Atlanta FaZe’s downfall, Los Angeles Thieves took over as the CDL top dogs. They are living up to the name of a super team, having now won 21 out of their last 24 fixtures – which includes a 3-0 sweep of Miami Heretics in the second round of the Major.
Dealership or Hacienda on Search & Destroy or Skyline-Hardpoint are three maps on which Miami Heretics can challenge LA Thieves. So, while this is Thieves’ game to lose, -151.52 on the improving Heretics to take a map is worth a look.
