The Call of Duty League (CDL) announced the eight teams that have qualified for the 2025 CDL Championship, which begins on June 26.
Following the conclusion of the Call of Duty League (CDL) 2025 Stage 4 Major, the league revealed the final list of eight CDL Championship 2025 participants.
The Los Angeles Thieves won their second Call of Duty League (CDL) Major title on Sunday after beating Atlanta FaZe 4-2 in front of a live crowd of CoD fans at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.
With that, the final stage of the CDL 2025 season came to a close, ending the battle for CDL Championship 2025 points to earn invites to the season-ending event.
Before the fourth Major of the season, four teams, including LA Thieves, Atlanta FaZe, Toronto Ultra, and Vancouver Surge, had already secured their CDL Championship 2025 tickets.
This left four spots up for grabs and six teams in the race – including all but the Vegas Falcons and Los Angeles Guerrillas M8.
The pressure was the highest for Cloud9 New York and Minnesota RØKKR, who needed a deep run, yet neither managed to exceed expectations.
Cloud9 New York crashed out of the tournament without a single victory after losing to Atlanta FaZe and LA Guerrillas M8.
Minnesota RØKKR found a bit more success by reaching the third stage of the lower bracket, where they got outclassed by OpTic Texas, leaving them with just 30 CDL points and a US$15,000 consolation prize.
With the two teams failing to produce a Cinderella run, the race for CDL Championship 2025 was completed, leaving the remaining teams to battle for favourable seedings.
With the conclusion of CDL 2025 Major 4, the eight remaining teams now have a month to prepare for their trip to Kitchener Memorial Auditorium in Kitchener, Canada, where they’ll fight for the trophy of CoD: Black Ops 6 world champions.
The CDL 2025 Championship is set to kick off on June 26, 2025.
