ESB’s free StarCraft II betting picks for Saturday, September 18 focus on two bouts in the 11th Brawler’s Club tournament of 2021. Here are our best bets for Kang “Solar” Min-soo vs Joo “Zest” Sung-wook and Byun “ByuN” Hyun-woo vs Kim “Cure” Doh-wook, with top odds courtesy of BetOnline.

SOLAR vs ZEST SCII BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Joo “Zest” Sung-wook is expected to defeat Kang “Solar” Min-soo on Saturday, which makes sense since he is 14-8 up in the head-to-head on the year. What’s more, Zest has won seven straight meetings with Solar between July 14 and August 8.

However, it is fair to note that Solar won their last meeting (2-1) at the end of August when he denied Zest a spot in the ITaX Pro Circuit 7 playoffs. Solar eventually made it to the finals but lost against Park “Zoun” Han-sol (2-3).

Zest should be favoured to win since he historically does well into Solar; however, we wouldn’t bet on him at the offered StarCraft II betting odds. Zest would be the right choice if the price was right, but we like Solar at outsider odds.

BYUN vs CURE SCII BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

SCII Betting Odds: ByuN +111 at BetOnline | Cure -151.52 at BetOnline

The defending Brawler’s Club champion, Kim “Cure” Doh-wook will clash with Byun “ByuN” Hyun-woo for the 11th time of the year, and the first time since ESL Open Cup #87 Americas, when Cure won 3-1. The match happened just over a week ago, and it marked Cure’s second head-to-head victory of September, having already beaten ByuN (3-2) during WardiTV Summer Championship 2021 on Saturday, September 4.

Cure enters this tournament ranked sixth in the Korean ESL Pro Tour 2021/22 standings, so there are better players than him out there; however, with the form Cure has been showing, it’s hard to ignore him. This month, Cure has already pocketed titles at Brawler’s Club #10 and the WardiTV Summer Championship 2021 and has silver medals from OSC 2021 Super Series, Mid Season Playoffs #1, and the ESL Open Cup #87 Americas.

Since June 2021, Cure has won 20 Minor tournaments, placed second at WardiTV Team Liquid Map Contest #7 and landed in fourth at two Premier tournaments in NeXT 2021 S1–SC2 Masters and TeamLiquid StarLeague 7.

Evidently, Cure is in excellent form and is rightly priced as the favourite, but even at -151.52 he seems underrated by the esports bookmakers.
