Preview Monster Launch Invitational 2027 with team analysis, outright odds and expert betting tips, including a Paris Gentle Mates outright pick.

The first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 tournament is on the horizon, featuring 16 CoD teams and a US$100,000 prize pool.
Monster Launch Invitational 2027 kicks off on Friday, November 6, as the first professional CoD tournament of the 2027 season. The event will be played entirely online and will welcome 12 franchised CoD League (CDL) teams and four CDL Challenger squads, who will showcase their new roster on a new game title.
This year’s event will use a different format than the inaugural Monster Launch Invitational in 2025. Instead of a single double-elimination bracket, the 16 participating teams will start their journey in one of four GSL-format groups.
All group stage games will be played as best-of-five, with the top two teams per group securing a spot in the playoffs.
Monster Launch Invitational 2027 playoffs will be double-elimination with best-of-five games up until the grand final, on Sunday, November 8, which will be a best-of-seven showdown.
With new faces joining the team, and many of the 2026 CDL powerhouses making significant changes, Monster Launch Invitational promises to be an exciting event for esports fans. It is a tournament with plenty of betting opportunities to take advantage of and moments to look forward to.

Monster Launch Invitational 2027 Teams to Watch
FaZe Vegas
After winning the CDL Championship 2026, FaZe Vegas decided to freshen up their roster and build the next superteam with Mohammed “Alluka” Bindal, Paco “HyDra” Rusiewiez, Thomas “Scrappy” Ernst, and Chris “Simp” Lehr.
On paper, this could be one of the most dominant lineups in CoD history. However, a fresh roster brings problems and early struggles. It is unclear how the players will get together, and with so many superstars, disagreements and ego clashes are likely.
It does not help that FaZe have not scrimmed much ahead of Monster Launch Invitational, putting a huge question mark above what looks like the most stacked roster in the CDL.
OpTic Texas
OpTic Texas have opted not to make roster changes for the 2027 season after securing a silver medal at CDL Championship 2026. This decision could pay dividends early, as OpTic have strong continuity with Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro, Brandon “Dashy” Otell, Cuyler “Huke” Garland, and Mason “Mercules” Ramsey, who have been playing together since May, some of whom have been playing together since 2023.
On paper, OpTic should be considered a serious threat to win Monster Launch Invitational 2027. But they are a bit of an enigma as OpTic have not streamed many scrims, so it is impossible to know what shape they’re in ahead of the tournament.
Paris Gentle Mates
Paris Gentle Mates exited the offseason as one of the big winners, having assembled a superteam. They have signed the CDL Championship-winning roster of Jovan “04” Rodriguez, Jordan “Abuzah” François, and Zachary “Drazah” Jordan, and paired them with star player Joseph “JoeDeceives” Romero, who helped Gentle Mates to a fourth-place finish last season.
On paper, this is one of the league’s more stacked lineups, but there’s more to them. Beyond looking potent, Paris Gentle Mates have also dominated the pre-season scrims, showing excellent form ahead of the first professional tournament on CoD:MW4.
Toronto KOI
Toronto KOI have not had the best ending to the 2026 season, finishing the CDL Championship in seventh-eighth place. In a bid to bounce back in 2027, they’ve acquired two new players, David “RenKoR” Isern and a promising rookie, Ethan “Ethan” F.
On paper, this roster has potential to compete for podium finishes, but there are some questions about how Ethan will do at the highest level or how well RenKoR will fit in. Potential is there, but until Toronto KOI show something, that’s all they have.
Monster Launch Invitational 2027 Predictions
Outright Bet – Paris Gentle Mates to Win
FaZe Vegas and OpTic Texas are billed as the two main contenders, either because they’ve assembled a superteam or because they’ve kept together a roster that reached great heights last season. However, even with two titans in the mix, Paris Gentle Mates come off as the most dangerous threat.
Paris Gentle Mates have looked like the most well-rounded team during pre-season online scrims. They’ve gotten a firm grasp of the MW4 meta the fastest, and it showed in scrim results.
While doing well in practice games and in an official tournament are two entirely different things, Paris Gentle Mates’ off-season dominance is a good indication of what they’re capable of and what we can expect to see more of this upcoming weekend.
