League of Legends Champions Korea 2026 Rounds 1-2 served esports fans with another massive upset on Sunday, June 7, as KT Rolster eliminated Dplus KIA from the Mid-Season Invitational ticket race.

In the second round of LCK’s Road to MSI, held at LoL Park in Jongno, KT Rolster claimed another big scalp by reverse-sweeping Dplus KIA 3-2.

Despite a worrying start to the best-of-five series, with KT Rolster dropping the first two maps, Gwak “Bdd” Bo-sung and his crew showed fight and resilience to complete a dramatic comeback and move one step closer to MSI 2026.

The series started with Dplus KIA taking off early, helped by an explosive performance from their bottom lane. Using a potent Ashe-Seraphine duo, DK’s bot lane combined for an impressive 10/0/22 KDA, while jungler Choi “Lucid” Yong-hyeok helped secure the early advantage.

The second map was closer, but not much easier for KT Rolster early. This time, Lucid targeted mid lane and helped Heo “ShowMaker” Su build a huge lead over KT’s star mid laner.

KT Rolster managed to claw back some of the lost gold, but an unfortunate overextension at Elder Drake handed Dplus KIA an easy path to their opponents’ Nexus and a 2-0 series lead.

Following a rough start to the series, KT Rolster finally got their name on the board on map three. By targeting Dplus KIA’s bottom lane with Nocturne, KT managed to shut down DK’s strategy, turn their leads into teamfight wins, and stroll to victory.

Map four looked a lot like the first two, with KT Rolster falling behind early. However, despite trailing by 10,000 gold, KT never lost focus and secured Elder Drake, which was enough to force Silver Scrapes.

With everything on the line, both teams stepped up on map five, going back and forth for the first 25 minutes.

At the 26-minute mark, Dplus KIA secured Baron and built a lead of more than 5,000 gold, but they could not find a way to close out the game.

KT Rolster then pulled off a huge Elder Dragon steal at 32 minutes, and unlike DK, they managed to use that advantage to destroy their opponents’ Nexus and complete the reverse-sweep.

Considered one of KT Rolster’s most impressive comebacks of the season, Sunday’s game was also one of Dplus KIA’s worst performances of 2026, as they now head into an early offseason.

KT Rolster are set to face Gen.G on June 13 in the fourth round of Road to MSI, when they will look to take one step closer to qualifying for their first Mid-Season Invitational.

According to the best LoL bookmakers, however, that will be much easier said than done. KT Rolster are currently priced as $6.00 underdogs for their clash with Gen.G, giving them a 16.7% implied probability of winning the next series.
