Kiwoom DRX are 4-10 this split and 2-3 across their last five matches, with wins over Nongshim RedForce and HAJIN BRION. Their three defeats came against Gen.G, Hanwha Life Esports, and KT Rolster, so KRX deserve some leeway given the strength of their recent schedule.
Things will not get any easier on Wednesday, though, as Kiwoom DRX prepare to face T1. Despite showing improvement and a better ability to handle lower-rated teams, KRX are rightly listed as heavy underdogs on the top LoL bookmakers.
The reigning world champions have been on a roll and enter Week 8 with eight wins from their last 10 outings. After a slow start to the split, T1 have ironed out their early issues, stabilised their early game, and looked much cleaner when making late-game decisions.
They also have side selection for this match, which only makes the task harder for Kiwoom DRX. KRX have improved, but this is still a sizeable step up against one of the best teams in the league.
T1 should control this series from the opening map. A 2-0 sweep looks like the most likely outcome.

Nongshim RedForce enter the eighth week of LCK Rounds 1-2 on an eight-game losing streak. They deserve some slack given the difficulty of their recent schedule, but the run still includes defeats against BNK FEARX, HAJIN BRION, and Kiwoom DRX.
To be fair to RedForce, all three of those teams have been trending upward, so the results are not quite as ugly as they may look at first glance. Still, Nongshim need to show more before they can be trusted outright.
KT Rolster ended last week with two victories, beating Kiwoom DRX and Hanwha Life Esports, both 2-1. That sums up the duality of KT this season. They can hit impressive highs, but they have also produced plenty of mixed and unconvincing performances over the last couple of weeks.
While volatile, KT tend to do well in matches where they are not shut down early. That gives Nongshim RedForce a clear win condition, especially with side choice available. If RedForce can find early openings, they have a path to making this much more competitive than the odds suggest.
Despite their poor form, Nongshim RedForce have shown some pulse lately, especially with stronger bottom-lane synergy after the arrival of their new ADC. They still have a lot to prove, but at this price, RedForce taking one map is hard to pass on.
