Saturday’s slate begins with an exciting clash between two of Korea’s strongest teams, who last met at the start of February. That game ended with a convincing 3-0 sweep for Gen.G, who hold a tag of -277.78 favorites on the best LoL bookmakers, to take down Hanwha Life Esports for the second time.

Gen.G have not performed as well at the start of LCK Rounds 1-2 as they were expected, dropping two games –against KT Rolster and Dplus KIA. DN SOOPers will chase their second victory of the split on Saturday, but that will be easier said than done. Standing on the other side of the Rift are KT Rolster, who’ve emerged as LCK’s hottest team early into the split.

KT Rolster came out of nowhere and have accumulated five straight victories, beating all of the league’s top dogs in T1, Gen.G, Dplus KIA, as well as Nongshim RedForce and BRION. Over that stretch, they’ve had a few close calls, indicating that something will break at one point, but it is hard to imagine KT struggling against a lower-rated squad like DN SOOPers.

It is advisable to be cautiously optimistic about KT Rolster as we head deeper into the season, as they are not playing as well as their record would suggest. But as long as the mid-jungle duo, laner Gwak “Bdd” Bo-sung and Mun “Cuzz” U-chan are in form, KT should not be in danger of losing games like this.
