Carolina Royal Ravens and Paris Gentle Mates clashed once before this season. Gentle Mates won that meeting 3-1, and they are expected to be just as successful in the rematch on Friday.

Paris Gentle Mates enter Major 2 in terrible shape. They’ve lost seven of the last eight matches and have not shown many inspiring things over that stretch. So, it is not beyond the realms of possibility for the Royal Ravens to take a respawn or two, even though they tend to be worse on Hardpoint and Overload.

TORONTO KOI vs VANCOUVER SURGE

Neither team had a great split, but they have made the play-in stage and are now fighting for a spot in the main event.

FaZe have met with LA Thieves three times this season and won twice. However, the map record (6-5) indicates that there is not much to set them apart, and the latest odds reflect it.

The Los Angeles Thieves have proven to be a better team on respawns. FaZe tend to struggle with slaying, but they are a more effective team on Search & Destroy. FaZe are also known to be less volatile on LAN, which is a very good reason to take their side in this contest.

G2 MINNESOTA vs RIYADH FALCONS

G2 Minnesota are slight underdogs for their opening match of CDL Major 2. They defeated the Falcons 3-2 one month ago, although they lost the first clash 2-3 in January.

Both teams have shown some good things this stage, but there are some notable differences. Riyadh Falcons are good at respawns and weaker at Search & Destroy. This gives G2 a solid chance to steal the win, as long as they take a Hardpoint, but that seems unlikely.

Riyadh Falcons might be unconvincing on S&D, yet their respawn is much better than G2 Minnesota’s. The Falcons should come out ahead.
