TORONTO KOI vs CLOUD9 NEW YORK

Cloud9 New York are the clear worst team in the CDL, having managed only one victory over the first four weeks of play. They enter Week 5 with a three-game losing streak, having failed to overcome Miami Heretics, Vancouver Surge, and Boston Breach.

Toronto KOI are on the opposite trajectory. Despite the slow start to the season, they’ve shown signs of life and have managed a 4-4 record, which includes a 4-1 run over their last five outings.

RIYADH FALCONS vs MIAMI HERETICS

Miami Heretics look very potent on AR-heavy maps but need to expand their map pool. On a more positive note, Heretics excel at Search & Destroy, where the Falcons struggle.

On paper, these two outfits look evenly matched. But the Miami Heretics are a more complete team with fewer weak points.

PARIS GENTLE MATES vs OPTIC TEXAS

OpTic Texas are strong favorites to defeat Paris Gentle Mates on Friday, which sounds fair, as they are the clear best team in the CDL.

With a 66.7% win rate on Hardpoint, 69.2% on Search & Destroy, and 64.7% on Overload, OpTic have proven to be a class above everyone else. That includes Paris Gentle Mates, who, after their run to the Major 1 title, have fallen off.

Gentle Mates are 3-4 ahead of the fifth week of action and on a four-game losing streak. While they have the talent to bounce back, it is hard to make a case for them here, against the hottest squad in the league.
