DRX started their LCK Cup Play-In campaign on Friday, when they faced off against BRION. After a back-and-forth on the first two maps, DRX entered the decider with a notable draft disadvantage, picking four champions with dashes into Cassiopea.

However, despite the handicap, DRX did a great job identifying when to go in and used their early-game strength to run away with a lead and close it out in just over 30 minutes. It was a very impressive performance from DRX and their best game yet.

Despite the promising showing on Friday, DRX enter their second match of the Play-Ins as +275 underdogs on the top-rated LoL betting sites. This makes sense, as Dplus KIA have looked better this split and field a stronger roster. This statement could be debated, given their tough losses to T1 and Gen.G; however, aside from struggling against two LCK juggernauts, Dplus KIA have performed exceptionally well.

Dplus KIA are not quite serious LCK title contenders. But they have proven to be a tier above any team not named T1 or Gen.G.

DN SOOPers took care of business in Round 1 of the Play-In stage, beating LoL Worlds 2025 finalists, KT Rolster in a 2-0 sweep.

On the first map, DN SOOPers ignored towers in favor of stacking drakes. They were down 0-11 at one point, but still came out ahead.

Map two was another excellent showing from the underdogs, who outperformed KT despite getting outdrafted in the bottom lane, which sealed the deal for KT and their win condition.

Nongshim RedForce’s last match, on January 30, ended in a 3-2 victory against KT Rolster. Despite struggling to keep up with KT, the favorites had a few too many slip-ups on the day and did not look all that convincing.

Both squads outperformed KT Rolster in their last outing, and they both looked good at it. And even though NS RedForce looked slightly stronger throughout the season, DN SOOPers have been improving both as a team and with their drafting.

This should be a close game, which makes SOOPers an excellent pick at outsider odds.
