JD Gaming have signed coaches Tabe and Xiaobai for 2026 after AL’s breakout title. With Xiaoxu and Vampire on board, JDG now focus on finalizing their roster.

On Sunday, November 30, JD Gaming announced the arrival of coach Wong “Tabe” Pak-kan and Yang “Xiaobai” Zhonghe, who will represent the team’s new coaching staff for the 2026 League of Legends season.
The two coaches led Anyone’s Legend in the 20256 seasons, helping the LoL Pro League (LPL) team undergo a remarkable transformation, leading the former mid-table team to their first domestic title.
By joining JD Gaming, Tabe will continue his coaching career, which started in 2017 when he led Hong Kong Attitude to the LoL World Championship.
After a promising start to his coaching career, Tabel signed for his former team, Royal Never Give Up, with whom he won LPL 2021 Spring and Regional Finals. He added another LPL Spring title in 2022, and a gold medal from the Mid-Season Invitational the same year.
The successful stint with RNG earned Tabe a spot on Bilibili Gaming for the 2023 season. With his new team, the 34-year-old made the finals of MSI and the semifinals of LoL Worlds. However, the failure to win a single title that season led to a major roster overhaul and Tabe’s departure.
In 2024, Tabe signed for Anyone’s Legend. While the first season was slow and largely unsuccessful, he helped the Chinese outfit to their first LPL title this season. To that, he added a silver medal from Split 1 and the Esports World Cup, ending the year with a quarterfinal exit from LoL Worlds.
Xiaobai, who joins JDG alongside the experienced coach, not only worked as Tabe’s assistant on Anyone’s Legend, but the duo also coached Royal Never Give Up together in 2022, winning LPL Spring and the MSI trophy.
Acquiring the ex-AL coaches puts immense pressure on JD Gaming, whose goals for 2026 are now sky-high. However, they still have to form a new roster, which currently features only top laner Xu “Xiaoxu” Xingzu and ex-Team WE support Zhao “Vampire” Zhecan, who signed for the team on Sunday.
JD Gaming have just over four weeks to finalize their roster before the opening round of LPL 2026 Split 1, on January 1.
