Chinese jungler Milkyway receives a permanent LPL ban for match-fixing and draft leaks; track roster fallout, futures odds and betting predictions for 2026.

Chinese jungler Cai “Milkyway” Zi-Jun has received a permanent competitive League of Legends ban due to match-fixing and draft leaking.
The 20-year-old has been under investigation since August, when Milkyway was suspected of match-fixing and draft leaks for Demacia Cup 2024 during his time at RNG.
According to allegations and screenshots, the jungler shared confidential information with third parties.
Shortly after, Milkyway stated he is innocent via social medial, also releasing an official statement, claiming that he has
evidence to clear his name. However, the case was since taken over by the local police, who found new evidence working
against the player.
The League of Legends Pro League (LPL) has yet to make a public statement regarding the incident, waiting for the official
conclusion of the investigation before doing so.
However, if the investigation officially confirms Milkyway’s involvement in match-fixing and other wrongdoings, he would
become the first player in history to receive a permanent ban from China’s top flight.
After his stay with Royal Never Give Up, Milkyway returned to FunPlus Phoenix, whom he rejoined in July 2025. However, the young jungler has remained on the active roster for only to weeks, before the allegations became public.
Milkyway is a very young player who has been involved in the competitive LoL esports scene since February 2023, when he
joined Royal Club.
In December of the same year, he signed his first professional contract with FunPlus Phoenix, with whom Milkyway placed top-six in LPL Spring and top-eight in LPL Summer, narrowly missing a spot in LPL Regional Finals.
After a promising debut season with FPX, Milkyway joined Royal Never Give Up, who struggled with success in the 2024 season and sent the Chinese support back to his old team after Split 2, after the first allegations of his wrongdoings.
Milkyway has since played just four games for FPX, the last one in August in Week 5 of LPL 2025 Split 3
