Gen.G advance into semis of LCK, Hanwha battle awaits

Gen.G kept their League of Legends LCK title hopes alive, living up to their pre-match billing as favourite, defeating T1 3-2 in a thrilling quarter-final at LoL headquarters in Seoul on Saturday.  

The victory means Gen.G will now play KT Rolster in the semi-finals on Saturday with the winner set to take on Hanwha Life in the final on Sunday, with the successful team crowned the LCK champion. 

Gen.G has been installed at a -833.33 price to defeat KT Rolster (+422 ), who will be smarting after they were whipped 3-0 by Hanwha Life in their first opportunity to reach the final. 

KT Rolster, who had caused a shock earlier in the tournament when they defeated Gen.G, were clearly below their best against Hanwha Life, but will take heart from their victory over the powerhouse LoL outfit ahead of their rematch. 

The KT Rolster win over Gen.G proved they can handle the big stage, with this booking their upper bracket finals spot and secured their direct entry into the LoL Worlds event. 

But Gen.G is undoubtedly one of the best teams in the world, having dominated the Esports World Cup League of Legends event, and they will be desperate to turn around their best of five. 

The LoL Worlds final will be played on November 8, 2025; with the event beginning on October 14 and running for over three weeks in various Chinese cities
