Gen.G revealed their 2025 League of Legends roster on Wednesday, featuring two changes from last season.
The highlight of the LoL Champions Korea (LCK) outfit’s new lineup is the return of Park “Ruler” Jae-hyun, who has signed a three-year contract until 2027.
He joins a squad that also includes top laner Kim “Kiin” Gi-in, jungler Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu, mid laner Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon and bot laner Joo “Duro” Min-kyu.

Ruler, who spent six years with Gen.G before leaving in 2022, returns after spending two seasons with JD Gaming in the LoL Pro League (LPL).
In his debut campaign with the Chinese powerhouse, the Korean ADC came close to realising the elusive Golden Road, winning both LPL splits and the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational before JD Gaming slipped up in the LoL World Championship semifinals.
The second year with JD Gaming was far less fruitful, as they failed to win a single title and had no international appearances after missing their chance to qualify for MSI 2024 and LoL Worlds 2024.
With an abysmal season in the rearview mirror, it is no surprise that Ruler wanted to freshen things up, but until this week, it was unclear where he would end up.
While his homecoming has been generally accepted well by the fans, it brings up the question of why Gen.G decided to replace Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan.
The teenage star has dominated the league since joining Gen.G in 2023, and he’s even left a mark on international events, setting a new record by securing 28 kills in the Mid-Season Invitational 2024 finals.
The signings of Ruler and Duro mean there is no longer a place for Peyz in Gen.G’s bottom lane, although he is expected to attract plenty of offers.
Duro joins the team from FearX, where he made his top-flight debut during LCK 2024 Summer.
The 22-year-old support replaces Son “Lehends” Si-woo, who has yet to find a new team for the 2025 season.
