On Friday, Turkish Counter-Strike player Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç disclosed his departure from Eternal Fire after weeks on the bench.

xfl0ud joins free agency after a year and a half with Eternal Fire, where he attended multiple tournaments and won one Champion of Champions Tour Cental Europe Finals.

“My road has come to the end with Eternal Fire after a 1.5 year journey. I’m not under contract anymore and that means i am Free Agent from now on,” xfl0ud wrote.

The player stated that he was looking for a “new opportunity, new home, new challange” and asked interested parties to reach out to him for further details or offers.

Over the past few months, Eternal Fire have made several changes to their lineup, letting go of players and welcoming old members. Özgür “woxic” Eker’ made his return to the lineup earlier this month, while Ömer “imoRR” Karataş recently parted ways with the Turkish team

xfl0ud signed to Eternal Fire in 2021 in place of Issa “ISSAA” Murad. The Jordanian player departed the Turkish organization following his communication difficulties with the team.

xfl0ud’s stay was filled with multiple breaks from active play due to injury and in addition to moves by the organization. By October last year, he rejoined the active lineup, where he stayed for the next six months. He recorded a number of achievements during this period, reaching a 0.99 average LAN rating.

Eternal Fire also saw some success during this period, including a semi-final finish at ESL Challenger Rotterdam and winning the CCT Central Europe Finals in February this year. xfl0ud was put up for transfer towards the end of April.

During the BLAST Paris Major, Eternal Fire’s in-game leader, Engin “MAJ3R” Küpeli, claimed that xfl0ud’s inexperience and lack of confidence affected his gameplay.

“He’s my support player, throwing nades, being a little lurker, a little more passive. He has potential, but he hasn’t shown it yet because he lacks some experience or believing in himself… he’s always in the late situations, so it’s important for him to play well,” MAJ3R said.

xfl0ud will be replaced by Ali “Wicadia” Haydar Yalçın, who has already recorded significant success with the team. He notably helped Eternal Fire place runners-up at CCT South Europe Series 4. Wicadia reached a 1.11 rating in the event.

Eternal Fire’s updated lineup includes Wicadia, MAJ3R, woxic, Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş, and Buğra “Calyx” Arkın, with Sezgin “Fabre” Kalaycı as head coach.
