What’s on in esports for week beginning July 8, 2024

We take a look at the week ahead in esports and highlight the main events for July 8–14, with VALORANT taking the spotlight.

Another big week of pro gaming kicks off on July 8, 2024, with the final weeks of the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) taking the focus of the esports world.

With VALORANT Champions less than a month away, the final week of the Stage 2 group stage is upon us.

VCT China’s group stage is already complete, but the VCT Pacific, VCT EMEA and VCT Americas leagues will end in the coming days before the playoffs start the following week.

Meanwhile, the Dota 2 Riyadh Masters will continue this week at the Esports World Cup, with the group stage starting on July 10.

VALORANT Champions Tour

T1 and BLEED Esports will play the final series of VCT Pacific on July 8, with the playoffs to begin on July 12.

The final five matches of the VCT EMEA group stage will take place from July 9–11, with most of the clashes determining where the playoff teams finish on the table.

The VCT Americas league will be the last to finish, with the final series of the group stage taking place on July 14.

Dota 2 Riyadh Masters

The world’s best 16 Dota 2 teams are in Saudi Arabia to compete in the US$5 million Riyadh Masters, with the group stage set to kick off this Wednesday.

The best esports betting sites have Team Falcons marked as +300 favourites in outright betting, closely followed by Gaimin Gladiators (+450) and WBG.XG (+500).
