Another big week of pro gaming kicks off on December 2, 2024, with Counter-Strike 2 taking centre stage in Shanghai, China.
The Perfect World Shanghai Major opening stage will continue on Monday and Tuesday before the elimination stage, also known as the main event, begins on Thursday, December 5.
Meanwhile, the Rocket League FIFAe World Cup and Call of Duty League: Major 1 qualifiers will kick off on December 5 and December 6, respectively.

Perfect World Shanghai Major
The final two days of the opening stage at the Perfect World Shanghai Major will take place on Monday and Tuesday.
The eight teams that advance will join the other eight squads in the elimination stage, which is set to run from Thursday, December 5 through Sunday, December 8.
Team Liquid and The MongolZ have already qualified for the elimination stage, and six more teams will seek to join them by claiming three wins.

Rocket League FIFAe World Cup
The inaugural edition of the Rocket League FIFAe World Cup will start on Thursday, December 5, when 16 nations will play their opening group stage matches.
With a US$250,000 prize pool and US$50,000 winners cheque on offer for the 16 squads, a very competitive event is expected in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Best esports betting sites have marked France as the +400 favourite to take out the FIFAe World Cup. Saudi Arabia (+500), the USA (+600), and Brazil (+700) round out the other contenders.

The 2025 Call of Duty League will start on Friday, December 6, with the opening matches of the Madrid Major 1 qualifiers set to take place across four matchweeks.
