Team Secret started the season with a last-place finish in VCT Kickoff, with defeats against FULL SENSE, DetonatioN FocusMe, and ZETA DIVISION. For Stage 1, they’ve added Dwine “Rimuru” Enriquez and Jhian “Zeus” Vega as a substitute, but that is unlikely to lead to major improvements.
DRX looked better in the Kickoff event. They placed sixth with defeats against FULL SENSE, T1, and Paper Rex, which is not a terrible outcome. They’ve since brought in Kim “Yong” Ho-yong from the academy lineup.
Neither squad is expected to improve significantly for Stage 1, which works more in favor of DRX, who have proven themselves to be a strong mid-table team. Secret, on the other hand, continue to carry the tag of serious wooden-spoon candidates.

ZETA DIVISION did not find much success in the Kickoff tournament. They placed ninth-10th with only one victory against Team Secret. Rex Regum Qeon, on the other side, came close to winning the title, but lost the upper bracket final to Nongshim RedForce 2-3, mid bracket final to T1, and lower bracket final to Paper Rex.
Based on those results, it makes sense for the esports bookmakers to have RRQ priced as -625 favourites. On the other hand, ZETA DIVISION are known to catch stronger teams off guard, and this is more likely to happen after a competitive break.
Both teams have previously done well on the maps in the current rotation. Moreover, RRQ are known to play safer compositions, which helps them avoid finding themselves at a disadvantage, but it also means they rarely put themselves in good situations.
ZETA DIVISION have less to lose and can afford to approach this game with more risk, which can pay off. With rust playing a factor, ZETA to win a map at even money is a solid pick.
