VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 1 continues on Wednesday, April 29, with Team Heretics taking on FUT Esports before Team Vitality face PCIFIC Esports. It is only a two-match card, but both series still open up once the prices are looked at next to the recent results instead of in isolation.

FUT have earned the right to be trusted more than Team Heretics at this point in Stage 1.
Their record is the cleanest thing on the page. Four matches, four wins, and those wins have not come against pushovers either. They have already knocked off Gentle Mates, NAVI, Team Liquid, and Karmine Corp, which makes this line look more than fair rather than inflated on reputation.
Heretics are playing better now than they were two weeks ago, and the wins over Karmine Corp and Gentle Mates prove that, but FUT are still bringing the stronger body of work into this match. If Heretics cannot tilt the series into chaos early, FUT look more likely to control the tempo and finish it on their terms.

At -769.23, Vitality are just too short for the way they have been playing.
This is not about pretending PCIFIC suddenly deserve to be favourites. It is about looking at a team that has lost three straight, then asking whether that kind of number makes any sense in a best-of-three. Vitality have been beaten by Fnatic, Eternal Fire, and BBL since that opening win over GIANTX, so the market is still pricing them like the slump either never happened or does not matter.
PCIFIC are still 0-4, but they have at least shown enough resistance to suggest they are not dead on arrival. Taking GIANTX and Eternal Fire to three maps gives the underdog just enough life for the number to matter. If Vitality are even a little shaky again, this gets interesting far quicker than the odds suggest.
