KRU Esports have been the standout team of VCT Americas Stage 1 so far, entering Week 4 unbeaten after wins over Sentinels, NRG, and FURIA without dropping a single map.

That run has quickly pushed KRU into the conversation as the best team in Group Omega, and it is easy to see why the top VALORANT bookmakers have them priced as favourites against 100 Thieves.

100 Thieves have not been terrible this stage, but they have not shown enough to inspire much confidence either. Their recent losses to Sentinels and NRG were concerning, especially the defeat to NRG, which raised more questions about where this roster really sits in the regional pecking order.

FURIA suffered their first loss of VCT Americas Stage 1 last week, falling to the surging KRU Esports. They managed 10 rounds on Haven, but Lotus was a much rougher watch, ending in a heavy 4-13 defeat.

Sentinels come into this match with the same 2-1 record. They opened the stage with a loss to KRU, but have since bounced back with wins over 100 Thieves and Evil Geniuses.

FURIA still have a very high ceiling, but their overall level this stage has not been as convincing as the record might suggest. Their win over Evil Geniuses had some shaky moments, and the loss to KRU showed there are still real cracks when they are put under pressure.

Sentinels are not flawless either, but they have done enough over the last two weeks to suggest they can make this close. The gap between these two teams does not feel as wide as the market suggests, especially with FURIA still trying to prove they can consistently perform against stronger opponents.

FURIA deserve to be slight favourites, but at +125, Sentinels are the better value side.
