100 Thieves are priced as -250 favorites on the best VALORANT bookmakers to start their VCT Americas Stage 1 campaign with a victory against Evil Geniuses. That is not too surprising considering 100T have had a much better showing in the Kickoff event.

Neither team have made any roster changes ahead of Stage 1, so there is unlikely going to be major improvements from either team. However, the long break from competitive play will introduce some rust, giving the underdogs a better chance to do some damage.

Despite not producing much in the Kickoff event, Evil Geniuses have had their moments, and they played 100 Thieves very closely in their lower bracket clash. So even though 100T are rightly viewed as favorites, it is not beyond the realms of possibility for EG to keep it close.

The second match of the day is expected to be a competitive one as two of VCT Americas’ weakest teams face off in the first week of Stage 1.

LOUD enter Stage 1 with two new faces, including Miguel “Bati” Batista as a new coach and Roberto “erde” Lobos, formerly of Leviatan Academy. Even though erde is a great addition, he will not play for LOUD on Saturday, which is a concern.

With a full roster and given more time to adapt to the new coach, LOUD would stand a chance here. But ENVY looked cleaner in the Kickoff event and they have continuity, which are two good reasons to take their side in this contest.
