This opener looks tighter than the prices suggest, but Cloud9 still feel like the safer side.
Both teams opened Group Alpha with losses, although Envy were more competitive in a 2-1 defeat to LOUD while Cloud9 were swept 2-0 by Leviatán. Even so, Cloud9 already beat Envy 2-1 earlier this year at VCT Americas Kickoff, which is enough to give them a slight edge in a matchup that still looks pretty close on paper.
That makes the Cloud9 side easier to back, even if it is not a runaway value play. Envy are dangerous enough to make this awkward, but Cloud9 still look a little more likely to get the key rounds right if the series gets scrappy.

This is the stronger value angle of the two matches, even though it comes with more risk.
FURIA are the deserved favourites after opening Group Omega with a 2-0 win over NRG, while Evil Geniuses started Stage 1 with a 2-0 loss to 100 Thieves. That said, the market has reacted hard to one round of results, and +320 is a big number for a best-of-three where one strong map can change the whole shape of the series.
FURIA should be respected, but the price on them is far too short to be appealing. Evil Geniuses only need to make this messy and steal momentum early for the underdog number to become very live, so from a betting point of view they are the more interesting side.
