FURIA and KRU Esports both come into the third week of VCT Americas Stage 1 with perfect 2-0 records. FURIA have taken down NRG and Evil Geniuses, while KRU have beaten Sentinels and NRG to put themselves in a very strong early position.
On paper, there is not much between the two teams based on what they have shown so far. The one concern with FURIA is that their recent win over Evil Geniuses was shakier than expected. They did recover well after dropping Haven, but being pushed that hard by EG leaves a few questions hanging over them.
KRU, on the other hand, have looked more convincing from start to finish. They have played with confidence, looked clean in the server, and have not really given off the same warning signs. That makes the +137 underdog price feel generous.
FURIA’s overall body of work this season still deserves respect, but current form matters, and right now KRU look like the more convincing side. They should be much closer to even money in this spot, so the value lies with the outsiders.

After finishing third at both VCT Americas Kickoff and VALORANT Masters Santiago, NRG have cooled off badly in Stage 1. They have dropped their first two matches and suddenly find themselves under real pressure much earlier than expected.
Even so, this is still a roster packed with talent and one of the stronger teams in the region on pure quality. Their losses to FURIA and KRU were disappointing, but there is a fair argument that fatigue has played a part after a busy start to the season.
100 Thieves sit at 1-1 after sweeping Evil Geniuses and then falling 0-2 to Sentinels. That leaves them in a decent spot, but they have not done much yet to suggest they have taken a major step forward from the Kickoff event, where they also looked fairly ordinary.
There is definitely a path for 100 Thieves to make this competitive, especially if NRG stay flat. Still, this feels like the kind of spot where NRG finally respond. They have too much quality to keep digging the hole deeper, and with the urgency rising, this should be a much stronger showing from them.
