Gen.G Esports did not look too convincing in the group stage, but they have managed a promising run throughout the playoffs, with victories against TALON and BOOM Esports. Rex Regum Qeon, on the other side, played as well as expected, beating DRX 2-1 in their upper bracket semifinal, improving their record on the stage to 4-2.
The best VALORANT betting sites have Gen.G priced as -227.27 favourites, which makes sense considering their recent resurgence. But like Gen.G, RRQ have been improving at a fast pace.
This looks very close to a coin flip, so there is no reason to give Gen.G a 69.4% implied probability of winning the fixture. At these numbers, Rex Regum Qeon are worth a stab.

DRX and Paper Rex last met in the first round of the VCT 2025 Pacific Stage 1 group stage, when DRX won with 13-9 on Haven, lost 10-13 on Icebox, and claimed Lotus 13-7. Kim “MaKo” Myeong-kwan and co. are expected to do just as well in the rematch; however, with Paper Rex’s recent improvement, a repeat of that result will not come as easy for DRX.
After an iffy group stage campaign, which Paper Rex finished with a 2-3 record, they found another gear in the knockout stage with victories against T1 and BOOM Esports. Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto and co. also seem to have opted for a more aggressive playstyle, which worked against T1 and BOOM, but it will not be as efficient against DRX, who are good at stopping teams who overextend.
Stylistically, this match favours DRX, but map pool-wise, Paper Rex have some advantages, namely on Lotus, which is their best map. So while DRX should win, Paper Rex have improved enough to believe they can force a close series.
