By losing against BBL Esports (1-2) on Thursday, KOI earned the tag as the worst team in VCT 2023 EMEA League, which is shocking for a squad that was expected to fight for a top-three finish. But it’s not like KOI were unlucky to end where they are.

Over their last six series, KOI have not produced a single good game, except on day one, when they defeated Natus Vincere (0-2). Since then, they’ve lost against Team Vitality (0-2), Giants (0-2), FUT Esports (0-2), Karmine Corp (1-2), and BBL Esports (1-2).

Their next opponents, Fnatic, are the complete opposite. Based on what we’ve seen from the first six weeks of action, Fnatic are by far the best Valorant esports team from this region and possibly the best team in the world. Since Emir “Alfajer” Beder returned to the roster (Week 2), Fnatic have not dropped a single map and gave up more than eight rounds just once – against Vitality (14-12) last week.

As long as Fnatic don’t slow down, this should be the most one-sided fixture of the season, so we’re happy to put money on a bit larger map handicap.

Giants and Team Vitality enter Week 7 of VCT 2023 EMEA League tied at 3-4, but there’s a good reason why Giants are priced as the favourites. Team Vitality have lost their last three series against BBL Esports (0-2), Natus Vincere (0-2), and Fnatic (0-2), whereas Giants have at least won one over the same stretch – against FUT Esports (2-0). Still, that doesn’t make much of a difference.

Giants have still lost against Team Liquid (1-2) and Team Heretics (0-2), which is more alarming than Vitality losing against BBL, NaVi, and Fnatic. It’s also important to note that Vitality nearly won a map against Fnatic (12-14 on Haven) and played well against Natus Vincere (10-13, 10-13) a week prior.

Giants and Team Vitality look evenly matched, and even though Giants might look to be in a better spot, we don’t see it. The top Valorant betting sites shouldn’t be pricing Vitality above even money, so anything over +100 offers solid value.
