Team WE and LGD Gaming will face off on Monday, May 26, in the first round of the League of Legends Pro
League (LPL)
2025 Split 2 Play-In stage, when they’ll battle it out for a spot in the knockout stage.

LGD Gaming enter the Knight’s Rivals as heavy underdogs, priced at $3.25 on the top LoL betting sites, which
makes sense for a team that competed in the lower conference.

Group Nirvana was much worse than the upper conference, with a softer schedule, so LGD Gaming’s 4-1 record
should not be compared to Team WE’s 39% win rate (7-11) by face value. Lower conference teams also played
fewer games, so there is a much smaller sample size.

However, LGD Gaming have mostly been crushing their opponents, much like a good team against weaker
squads. The question is whether they can keep their wheels spinning when faced with a tougher opponent or will
facing Team WE be too big of a jump in quality.

Team WE ended the group stage with a 2-4 record, with victories against ThunderTalk Gaming and Weibo
Gaming and losses against Invictus Gaming, Top Esports, Team WE, and JD Gaming.

They had a tough schedule, so WE deserve some slack for going 2-4, although they only looked good against TT
Gaming. The 2-0 sweep of Weibo was mostly thanks to WBG playing exceptionally poorly.

Both teams are hard to evaluate. Team WE because they’ve had to play tough opponents, while LGD
Gaming had a much softer road through the group stage, and they have not played a game in two weeks.

On paper, Team WE are better, but they rely too much on early-game and snowballing, which by design makes
them inconsistent. That likely will not be enough for an upset, but LGD Gaming can do some damage.

Prediction: LGD Gaming +1.5 maps – -120.48 at BetOnline
