Team WE face JD Gaming in the LPL 2026 Regional Finals, with JDG backed as underdogs to keep their Worlds hopes alive.

Team WE and JD Gaming will have one final chance to secure spots at the League of Legends World Championship this Friday, September 18, when they face off in the lower bracket semifinals of the LPL 2026 Season Finals.
The two teams last clashed in the first round of LPL Split 3 Playoffs, when Team WE won 3-1, handing JD Gaming a crushing loss and ending what seemed like a promising run from JDG.
JD Gaming looked strong in the latter stages of the regular season.
They looked more polished in the early game, opting to no longer rely on scaling, which has not worked in the current meta.
But despite showing promise, JD Gaming turned into a pumpkin and lost, which raises the question of whether they will manage to improve for Friday’s affair.
Team WE had a rough end to the regular season, winning just two games from their last seven.
And even though Team WE managed to take down JD Gaming in the first round of the playoffs, they failed to keep the momentum going and lost the next two to Bilibili Gaming and Invictus Gaming.
JD Gaming have been a better team this split, especially towards the end of the group stage.
While it is hard to look past the 1-3 loss in the first round of the playoffs, it can be viewed as a fluke more than anything else.
JDG are not strangers to turning into a pumpkin, but their performances over the last month have been promising.
They already figured out what works, and even though JD Gaming did not show it in the playoffs, they have had plenty of time to iron out their wrinkles and defeat the unconvincing Team WE.
The best LoL bookmakers have JD Gaming listed as +168 underdogs, which is too generous to ignore.
JD Gaming to win
