T1’s hunt for a new ADC player following the departure of Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyung came to an end on Wednesday, November 19, with the signing of ex-JD Gaming player Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan.
The 19-year-old Gen.G academy graduate was officially announced as T1’s new player in one of the biggest offseason roster moves.

Peyz started his career in August 2020 with Gen.G Academy and spent the 2022 season with Gen.G Challengers before he was promoted to the main LoL Champions Korea (LCK) roster.
In the two years with Gen.G, Peyz has emerged as one of the region’s top players in his position.
In his debut year, Peyz helped Gen.G win both LCK splits and qualify for the Mid-Season Invitational and LoL World
Championship.
The 2024 season was just as successful, with two gold medals from LCK Spring and MSI, on top of a runner-up finish in LCK Summer and a semifinal run at LoL Worlds.
After two promising seasons with Gen.G, Peyz left Korea to join JD Gaming, where he swapped places with Gen.G’s former ADC Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk.
Peyz’s stint with JD Gaming, however, did not go as expected. While JD Gaming have established themselves as one of China’s top teams, they failed to win a single trophy, settling for third place in Split 1 and the Regional Finals, and thus missing LoL Worlds.
After a disappointing season in the LoL Pro League (LPL), the Korean ADC is now returning to his home country.
Peyz joining T1 is not only his homecoming to the LCK, but is also one of the most unexpected roster moves.
The young player has long been seen as the future of Gen.G Esports, but has now fallen into the hands of Gen.G’s biggest rivals.
On the other hand, the Peyz and Ryu “Keria” Min-seok duo is not only one of the youngest in the LCK, but also one with potential to become the scariest bottom lane pairing in the world.
Payz is expected to debut for T1 at the Red Bull League of Its Own 2025. The showmatch tournament is scheduled to take
place at SAP Garden in Munich, Germany, on November 29.
Besides T1, the event will also feature NNo Old, Los Ratones, Karmine Corp, and G2 Esports.
