Only five spots remain for the fourth instalment of the BLAST Slam series, with US$1 million in prizemoney on the line.
Seven Dota 2 teams have been awarded direct invites to BLAST Slam IV, which kicks off on October 28 in Singapore.
The US$1 million tournament will mark the 16th Tier 1 event of 2025, welcoming 12 teams in total.
Four of the remaining five slots will be awarded to the top-performing teams of the Chinese, Southeast Asian, and European qualifiers, with the latter having two spots.
Among the invitees are Talon Esports as the local region hero and HEROIC as the Americas invite. The remaining five tickets were handed out to Team Liquid, Team Falcons, PARIVISION, Team Spirit, and Tundra Esports.
Featuring six of the seven top-rated teams on ESL Pro Tour Season 3 (excluding only BetBoom Team), BLAST Slam IV is shaping up to be one of the most stacked Dota 2 esports tournaments of the season.
Team Spirit headline the list of invitees, having recently hoisted their second Tier 1 trophy of the year at the 2025 Esports World Cup, ending their four-month title drought.
PARIVISION and Team Liquid are both seen as serious title contenders, having matched Spirit in the number of big events won this season.
Tundra Esports will aim to keep the tradition going after winning the first two BLAST Slam events of the year, while Team Falcons will be looking to shake off their bridesmaid tag following three losing grand finals in Tier 1 events.
With five more slots left to be filled and just under two months until the conclusion of the four qualifying events, top esports betting sites will take a while longer before they open the outright markets.
However, it is not hard to spot which five teams are going to be in the mix for the trophy.
