Esports World Cup Week 3 produced 24.2 million Hours Watched as MLBB, PUBG, EA Sports FC and TFT shaped the audience.

Esports World Cup 2026 viewership slowed during Week 3, but the quieter overall numbers came with one major exception. The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup carried the week almost single-handedly and delivered the highest peak audience recorded at this year’s festival so far.
Between July 20 and 26, EWC broadcasts generated more than 24.2 million Hours Watched. That was close to half the total recorded during Week 2 and also marked a 28.3% decline compared with the corresponding week of the 2025 event.
The drop was largely caused by the shape of the schedule rather than a sudden loss of interest in EWC. Teamfight Tactics, PUBG: Battlegrounds and EA Sports FC 26 all crowned champions, but none produced the type of global final that could match the previous week’s biggest tournaments. Meanwhile, the MLBB Mid Season Cup was still working through the group stage, with its most important playoff matches yet to come.

MLBB accounts for more than three-quarters of Week 3 viewing
The MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026 was comfortably the most-watched competition of the week, generating more than 18.8 million Hours Watched across its broadcasts.
That represented 77.6% of all EWC viewing recorded between July 20 and 26. Put another way, almost four out of every five hours watched during Week 3 came from Mobile Legends.
The tournament also became the first EWC 2026 event to pass two million Peak Viewers. The new high arrived during ONIC Esports’ group-stage win over Selangor Red Giants, underlining the size of the audience following Southeast Asia’s leading teams.
That record may not stand for long. The key knockout matches were still to come when the Week 3 figures were recorded, giving the tournament several more opportunities to move toward the 3.06 million peak set by MLBB at the previous Esports World Cup.

Week 3 finals struggle to deliver a major audience
The lack of a blockbuster championship match was the clearest reason for the decline from Week 2.
PUBG: Battlegrounds, EA Sports FC 26 and Teamfight Tactics all reached their conclusions, but none became a genuine crossover viewership event. Their combined audiences were not enough to replace the interest generated by the League of Legends, Dota 2 and other major competitions from the previous week.
The numbers were not entirely negative. Some titles improved in specific areas even while their headline peaks remained below last year’s results.
PUBG audience grows on Vietnamese broadcasts
The PUBG: Battlegrounds EWC tournament recorded a stronger Average Viewers figure, helped by increased interest across Vietnamese-language channels.
However, its Peak Viewers total fell by 23.4% compared with the 2025 edition. The result suggests PUBG was able to maintain a steadier audience throughout the tournament without producing one championship moment large enough to match last year’s high.
French viewers lift EA Sports FC numbers
The EA Sports FC 26 World Championship also improved its Average Viewers and total Hours Watched, with French-language coverage playing a significant role in that growth.
A show match featuring Karim Benzema and streamer Amine attracted considerably more attention than the Ronaldo Nazário versus Kaká exhibition staged in 2025. Even with that boost, the tournament’s overall Peak Viewers figure still finished 6% below last year.
Teamfight Tactics suffers sharp year-on-year fall
Teamfight Tactics delivered one of the weakest audience results seen across the Esports World Cup series to date.
The tournament struggled to stand out beside the larger team-based events running in Paris, while its own viewership was roughly half the total achieved by the game at EWC 2025.
Team Vision still left the event with a valuable championship, but the title did not generate the broader international attention seen around the winners of MLBB, League of Legends or VALORANT events.
T1 remain the most-watched organisation at EWC 2026
T1 remained comfortably ahead in the organisation viewership rankings after Week 3, becoming the first club to pass 10 million Hours Watched at EWC 2026.
Almost all of that audience came from the organisation’s League of Legends roster, which finished fourth in its tournament. T1 may not have reached the final, but its matches continued to draw more attention than those involving almost any other club at the event.
Dplus KIA and Karmine Corp remained close behind after meeting in the League of Legends grand final. Both benefited from their unexpected runs through a bracket that included many of the game’s biggest organisations.
Team Falcons and Gen.G also closed some of the gap during Week 3. Their appearances across the MLBB Mid Season Cup and PUBG competition gave both clubs more broadcast time and a larger share of the festival’s audience.
NAVI hold Club Championship lead after Week 3
Natus Vincere remained at the top of the EWC Club Championship standings with 2,250 points.
NAVI added another 500 points through a third-place finish in PUBG: Battlegrounds, strengthening a total already built through performances across the opening weeks of competition.
Virtus.pro made the biggest move of the week. Victory in the PUBG tournament earned the organisation 1,000 points, while its Teamfight Tactics roster added another 200 after reaching the playoffs. That combination lifted Virtus.pro into second place overall.
Team Vision also moved into contention after winning the Teamfight Tactics championship, leaving it only 500 points behind NAVI at the end of the week.
| Position | Club | Points |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Natus Vincere | 2,250 |
| 2 | Virtus.pro | 1,950 |
| 3 | Team Vitality | 1,800 |
| 4 | Team Vision | 1,750 |
| 5 | AG.AL International | 1,600 |
| 6 | Team Falcons | 1,300 |
| =7 | 100 Thieves | 1,000 |
| =7 | Dplus KIA | 1,000 |
| =7 | HYPERSPIRIT | 1,000 |
| =7 | UNLIMIT | 1,000 |
| =7 | LYON | 1,000 |
| =7 | PARIVISION | 1,000 |
No organisation has managed to win two separate EWC tournaments through the opening three weeks, despite NAVI, Virtus.pro and Team Vision all having multiple opportunities to do so.
A total of 59 clubs have now earned points, which shows how widely the early results have been spread. That should begin changing as multi-game organisations add more finishes during the second half of the festival.
Community casting share drops during MLBB-heavy week
Week 3 also produced a major shift in where fans were watching the Esports World Cup.
Community broadcasts had accounted for between 56% and 58% of total viewing during the first two weeks. That share fell to approximately 34% between July 20 and 26.
The change was closely linked to the dominance of MLBB. Independent co-streaming has traditionally played a smaller role in Mobile Legends than it does in games such as League of Legends, VALORANT or Counter-Strike. Most MLBB viewers instead use official broadcasts across YouTube, TikTok and other major platforms.
Zay Casting Channel was still the leading community broadcaster of the week. Its MLBB coverage generated more than 825,000 Hours Watched and reached a peak audience of 106,700 viewers.
That was a strong result in isolation, although the channel’s peak was around half the figure it recorded during the M7 World Championship.
