JD Gaming picked up a 2-0 sweep of ThunderTalk Gaming last week, improving their record to 6-4 for the split. It was a bloody affair and a dominant showing from JD Gaming, who have proved they are capable of running over weaker teams.

Team WE have looked like the worst team in the upper conference early on. But they’ve picked up some steam recently with four consecutive victories against ThunderTalk Gaming, Weibo Gaming, FunPlus Phoenix, and Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Considering Team WE’s recent resurgence, it would make sense to take their side to pick up another big scalp this week. However, JD Gaming are an entirely different beast and highly efficient in blowing games open against squads who do not offer much resistance early. Team WE rarely do.

Invictus Gaming are priced as -625 favourites to defeat ThunderTalk Gaming on the best LoL betting sites, but it does not make them an appealing bet. IG have been very inconsistent this season, and while they are the type of team you want to side with as big underdogs, they are not reliable as favourites.

Invictus are excellent at not losing too much early, which plays into their strength as outsiders. But they achieve that by limiting risky plays and not creating as many opportunities.

ThunderTalk Gaming have struggled to find much success early into the split, but they did pick up a win against Ninjas in Pyjamas in Week 3 and took a map off JD Gaming in Week 4. They have some fight in them, but TT Gaming should not be favoured against any team.

IG are the better team in this contest, but they are on a run of four losses and are not to be trusted to dominate when expected. ThunderTalk Gaming to win a map at even money is a solid pick.
